Dare to discover the dark side of Hollywood on this fascinating new tour that exposes where the glamour of “Tinseltown” collides with its most infamous crimes and the chilling hauntings of its most beloved landmarks. This comprehensive driving tour with stops begins in L.A.’s historic West Adams neighborhood and continues to West Hollywood and the heart of Hollywood, retracing the final shocking moments of Hollywood stars and music legends and the very locations where history was made – and lives were tragically lost. See the house where Marvin Gaye’s life was sadly cut short, the site where actor Sal Mineo was brutally stabbed to death and the home where Poltergeist actress Dominque Dunne was tragically killed. See the Stimson House, a 30-room Richardsonian Romanesque mansion on the National Register of Historic Places and learn about the dire circumstances that made it notorious. In West Hollywood we’ll pass by The Viper Room where actor River Phoenix died, and catch a glimpse of the legendary Chateau Marmont which is said to be haunted by the ghost of comedian John Belushi. In the heart of Hollywood, we'll pay tribute to the rock legends who joined the infamous “27 Club” when we drive by the legendary Highland Gardens Hotel, site of Janis Joplin's untimely death. We’ll hear about the “famous” spirits that that have been sighted at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, one of Hollywood’s most legendary haunts. Enjoy an included lunch with choice of entrée and dessert at Mel’s Drive-In, the iconic diner located on Sunset Blvd. Housed in one of the last remaining “Googie” style buildings in Southern California, this classic spot was previously Ben Franks, a famous hangout for rockers in the 60s and 70s. This afternoon we’ll visit the Hollywood Museum which features the most extensive collection of Hollywood memorabilia in the world! On display are more than 10,000 authentic Hollywood treasures including one-of-a-kind costumes, props, photographs, scripts and artifacts. Dare to venture downstairs into the museum’s “Dungeon of Doom” where you’ll walk through the actual prison corridor set from The Silence of the Lambs complete with Hannibal Lecter’s jail cell and authentic props from the movie. See real costumes and props from The Walking Dead and life-size costumes from favorite cult heroes like Freddy, Jason and Chucky! Led by former actress and Old Hollywood aficionado, Jasmin, this unforgettable tour shines a spotlight on the scandalous, sinister, and spectral stories that still haunt Los Angeles – from infamous cold cases like the Black Dahlia to mysterious suicides, chilling cover-ups, and Hollywood lore.
